Winter may be approaching but that doesn't mean we have to accept it. So I decided to throw it back to a photoshoot done back in the spring. I once again teamed up with my amazing photographer friend and client, Miss Nicola Richard as well as two beautiful models Shayda and Rachel.
When Nicola and I decided to collaborate on this project, we spent quite a bit of time discussing our concept and style. We decided to combine elements of fantasy with a bit of edgy realness on this shoot. The fantastical aspects show through our color choices in both wardrobe and location as well as in our makeup selection.
I decided to take something feminine and girly like braids and curls and create a bit of an edgier take by working with each of our own natural textures to make them messy and a bit undone. I also used a more dramatic application of soft colors like peach, coppers, and violets on the eyes and contrasted them with slightly bolder lips.
Nicola's incredible use of lighting helps to create a contrast to a worn and broken down setting and helps bring life to all of the photos.
I hope you all enjoy this gallery of photos and that it helps to distract you from the winter weather to come!
A HUGE thank to Nicola, Shayda, and Rachel for making this project so special.
